FOLKS GIVING FEST || Alex Maher, Tabbacco Brown & Brothers

(Check out 1 ticket at a time only, sorry for the inconvenience)

Day 1 of #FolksGiving Fest & she's a tasty cream pie. A mix of vibey looping guitars, soulful sax, part blues, part hip hop & a young band ala. Mac DeMarco we just can't get enough of.

Alex Maher: A multi-instrumentalist (sax, guitar, vocals, beatbox/loop pedal) who plays five nights weekly in Vancouver: the Clough Club every Sunday night, the Keefer Bar every Tuesday night (both solo gigs), the Granville Room every Wednesday night with a trio, Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 5-8 at the Blackbird. He has produced and released two albums with DNA6, and performed in three bands: Kyprios and the Chaperones, Daniel Wesley, and Vince Vaccarro. Currently he is working on his second solo album which plans to release last 2014.

Tabbacco Brown: Tobacco Brown is travelling the world in search of fast women and loose cars. Upon deciding sometime after his nineteenth birthday that he would like to give music an honest shot-Mr. Brown has been writing and performing almost non-stop. He currently has one album recorded with the help of Edouard Camou at Sinewavz Studios ( and a DVD titled 'The Patio Sessions' directed by Trevor Renney. All available to purchase at Mr.Brown's live shows. Born in Vancouver and raised in London, Mr.Brown currently resides in East Vancouver. He has permanent 'couch spine' and is constantly embarrassing himself. His style has been described as 'Jack Johnson on anti-depressants' but if you ask him and he had to choose, he'll tell you he's more like a 'Drunk Ben Harper.'

Brothers: Playing at the Juniper no less than two weeks ago, we had to invite them back because we loved their music & vibe so much. These young brothers are full of energy & sounds in the likes of a Mac DeMarco.
